Lamp 51

s an ambient lighting piece. It is meant to look like an alien object or monolith. It has been turned and painted on the lathe using a custom milk paint color. Multiple coats have been sanded away in order to achieve the oceany grain like texture. The lamp shades are made of found electrical insulators that i sand blasted and attached using silicone glue. The lighting comes from a coil of battery powered LED strips that provide a neutral upward glow.
